about

Recorded after our first European tour, in love with the food in Italy and the endless meals we had eaten there. Our last concert on that tour was overlooking the sea, during a World Cup final that Italy lost, and one of the only audience members was Umberto Eco who apparently has a thing for Australian jazz. We had just eaten for nearly 2 hours uninterrupted, drinking Azzurro, and feeling fine.
The tunes on this record were written during and immediately after the trip, flush with the first love of a band going somewhere.

Apogee is Frock's 7th album.
